Khách sạn Camerton

"I've stayed at the Trout a number of times, it is a pretty, well maintained hotel with lots of character and ideally placed to explore Cockermouth, the Western Lakes and the national park. The food is good and the staff are professional and very friendly."

"Excellent communication from staff and really helpful and friendly"

"Stayed five times, excellent hotel fro a short break away ."

"Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast."

"Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. Mattress was really thin, when you sat on it you were basically sat on the bed base and when you laid on the bed you could feel the springs in your back and side. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. "Lovely traditional Lakes coach inn in great setting close to Bassenthwaite although no view of the lake itself. Service was a bit archaic but I’m putting this down to because it felt like everyone was new? The original historic snug bar is the best feature within but it is clear they are more focused on servicing the relatively new restaurant bar area. Free parking and WiFi. Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

"Difficult for the hotel as there was a power cut for quite a few hours following the storm"

"We have stayed here three times now & love the friendly homely atmosphere. The apartment is perfect for me & my son and he loves the swimming pool! The gym has plenty of equipment & my treadmill faces a field of cows & the odd pig which was lovely! Will definitely be staying again"

"Beautiful hotel although it feels more like a home than a hotel. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Every room beautifully decorated. Bedroom suites are large and comfortable. 3 restaurants to choose from all excellent. Our stay was during"

"Very old ,needed upgrading .Lots of stairs, no lifts ! no good if you were Disabled or if you had problems climbing ."

"Beautiful gardens very dog friendly..room was spacious staff were excellent thank you hannnah and Joe...breakfast was lovely as were the evening, meals we had ...had a lovely swim in the spa pool ...all round excellent this is our second visit"

"My wife and I had a fabulous 2 night stay. Our room was lovely, staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was first class. The bar was a lovely place to relax after a long day walking. We would definitely return for another visit. I have only one observation to feedback, and its minor. The decor in our bathroom was tired and needs looking at. The bathroom was clean and tidy, but paint work and fixtures were beginning to show their age."

"On arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine biscuits and a bottle of milk which was a lovely touch. It is a lovely place to stay and would have no problem booking again."

"Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Property is in need of some TLC, and could be an excellent venue. Gardens in need of de-weeding and some cutting back on trees, brambles etc."
