Cancun is way more expensive in the last few years. Dinner for 5 off property was $450. Every activity is $100/ person minimum. Everyone expects a tip for doing the bare minimum. I love Cancún, but it's not the affordable family vacation it was.

Beach here is not very swimmable since you're in an area of strong surf. Views are beautiful and we loved watching the waves roll in from our balcony. Dining options within walking distance and bus stop to take you down the hotel zone strip.

We went to mass at a beautiful outdoor church Parroquia de Cristo Resucitado with a breeze blowing over us during the celebration followed by a delicious lunch at Carnitas Michoacan. Fascinatinng afternoon at the Museo Maya de Cancun

I've visited Cancun many times, and it never disappoints. The beaches are stunning, the food is amazing, and there's always something new to explore. Whether you're looking to relax or stay active, Cancun offers the perfect mix.

Cancun is warm and humid and lush. We stayed away from the Dolce, Gucci, Prada vibe and sought out the local treasures like Puerto Morales. Cenotes are incredible and the true treasures of the Mayan Riviera are its people.

Be sure to visit Isla Mujeres and rent a golf cart to go around the island. Strikingly beautiful scenery, great places to eat, wonderfully friendly people and where you can actually see where they live.

My daughter and I felt safe during our stay, we took plublic transportation locally and to Tulum and it was fine, local people are always willing to help you with directions and recommendations.

I enjoyed walking around Cancun, going to the beaches, going to Isla Mujeres, and seeing the Tulum Mayan ruins. There is plenty to do here for everyone and I would highly recommend it.

Transport directly to/from Cancun airport is pricey. Around 60 bucks just for a few miles ride. Outside the airport, on the other hand, Uber is very convenient and affordable.

Cancun is more than the Zona Hotelera. Isla Mujeres, Mercado 28, small restaurants outside the large resorts, riding on the insane buses. It is all part of the experience.
