The rooms are new and clean but they are not all luxury. Ours didn't have some basic things that other hotels have like a coffee maker or microwave in the room. We only saw two rolling carts for luggage so we had to carry our stuff on the way out. The staff at the desk were pretty meh. I feel like a hotel should never tell a guest, "I don't know." I'm not expecting bellhop or concierge service but, "I'll help you find what you need" would have helped this stay not feel overwhelmingly poorly timed.
In addition, the train goes by mere feet from the hotel, as quiet as a train can be, but I'm sensitive and I didn't sleep but my wife slept fine. We were on the other side of the hotel and our view was the neon casino sign.
The beds were comfortable and linens clean. The shower has an open side and it's brutal to have that cold blowing on you while you shower and after you finish.
Last, because of the river wall, I couldn't see the river or a view of much from the third floor walking around. If a view is important, make sure your room is high enough and on the riverside.
I was able to get the room on discount from the approximately $140 regular room price, but my next stay in the Cape, I'm staying away from the river & Riverview.
Please note: this review is for the hotel only, I did not enter the casino or Starbucks. I did price out the two restaurants (menus in room) and one was expensive, but is a fine dining restaurant.
