"Yes you check in at the gas station! That’s ok, gas station is also a good minimart. There is no after hours clerk and gas station attendant didn’t understand that he had our keys. Room was ok, property is quite dated, but is kept up well. Gas is cheapest at their station!"

"Horrible disgusting hot tub. I reserved mainly to sit in it to relax. Dirty and jets were very bad - spewed water everywhere.
Room was clean. Minimal towels and only one wash cloth was allocated. When we book for two people they should give two of each towel at a minimum."

"I had a very lovely stay! The location is great…very close to everything you could possibly need. The room was spotless and had lots of amenities…fridge and microwave were perfect! The bed was super comfy too! They have laundry on site and you can also refill water legacy was very helpful! Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning to this property and highly recommend!"

"Lone Oak Lodge is convenient & very close by to many places I wanted to see —- Monterey, Carmel, Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach, 17 Mile Drive, Pacific Grove, Carmel Mission Basilica Church. Only 5 to 15 minutes drive. Stayed here a couple of nights. Reasonable price for huge, clean room & accommodating staff, including the housekeeping. The smell of the room though is too clean! Ingredients of cleaning supplies might be a bit much for people with smell sensitivity. Thank you!"

"Check in was easy and the staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Son enjoyed the pool which was nice after long days at Laguna Seca. Close enough to fast food restaurants and grocery stores including some fantastic donuts at Monterey Donuts. Also being an easy drive to and from Laguna was great. If we are able to make the trip again next year we will strongly consider using El Castell again"

"I liked it. For one it's just what I needed. Simple, clean. Great location and easy parking underneath the hotel. Located near the Pier where there is a great seafood restaurant.
Some of the rooms may have the view blocked by stairwell or electrical things. It didn't matter whether I had a 3rd floor or 2nd floor. The elevator is a nice addition to a weary traveller. Front desk staff both great night and day. I'd return. "
