We stay here often because it is above the City's smog. But we have noticed this past 18mos that the service, facility, rooms, f&b pricing and relationship with Expedia has changed. Expedia let us book a Premium Sea View. Both King and Twin are available, so I wrote the hotel and asked for King preference. I wasn't able to call the local landline at that time. When we arrived, staff did accommodate our request, but it was hard on them. Expedia should be more specific with booking options. It is hard to eat anywhere else when you are far from Ayala, and most of the meals are well over priced, evenP Php above the recently awarded 'best restaurant in Cebu'. Along with the food/buffet, we noticed several other foreign guests need to have some sanitary lessons, like touching all the dessert containers without taking, putting food back after putting it on their plate and poking fruit with their fingers. This is how travellers get sick, but staff don't correct anyone's behavior. Another food note, if there is a big event, or one of the on-site restaurants is booked out, food prep and delivery in the other areas suffer. The carpets in hallway and room of our floor need to have deep clean. The paint is peeling in bathroom and handtowel rack was not attached. With the best pool in the City, we want to keep staying here, but this is not the Marco Polo we are accustomed to visiting numerous times a year.
