"Room was very hot, could’ve done with a fan as having the windows open was extremely noisy. Got woken up by bus garage being directly outside. This could’ve been avoided if a fan was available in the room. Room was a little dirty, dust everywhere and walls had marks up them. Bins hadn’t been emptied. "

"Quirky property with complete self check-in using codes and key boxes. Room (St Albans) roomy and bathroom well appointed. WiFi worked well. Bit of a lack of surfaces - desk would have been nice. Great location - but town is uphill! "

"Excellent accommodation in a quiet location. The Lodge is situated in lovely private grounds with electronic gates in Hemingford Grey. We stayed in the Oak room and loved the size of the room and the lovely bathroom. The room was very stylish from the oak flooring to the furniture and the bathroom. A good breakfast (cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, toast etc) was delivered on a tray to our room at a time to suit you. "I was genuinely surprised to find a hotel this good for the price. The place was very clean, the staff were both professional and friendly, and breakfast was included, I really can't complain. Excellent value for money, and I will definitely be returning."
