"The stay was decent the only complaint I have isn't huge, just something to mention about my room. The shower didn't work properly, alone with the use of an old school shower curtain. It made for very annoying showers."

"The hotel and grounds are beautiful - well worth staying a night. It's not everyday that you get to sleep in a former palace! The dining room, lounges, halls are ornately finished. The restaurant was expensive for dinner, but absolutely delicious. Breakfast is a wonderful buffet. Definitely eat on the terrace so you can enjoy the views of the forest and exterior of the building. It's probably the most beautiful outdoor dining I've ever seen. "Nice place in historic town. Room was large, clean, and bed was comfortable. Town is walkable, I walked from the bus stop. The hotel has a restaurant and the breakfast is nice, they set up a taxi service and they were nice. I did use cash in town and for the taxi which was appreciated. Everyone was so nice even though I didn't speak Portuguese."

"Really unique accommodation in an old castle village! Driving in is something else, with all those narrow cobblestone laneways. Staff were super friendly. Our room was quite small, but had everything we needed. "
