Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Laguna escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Next, make room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, drills, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like ice skates, and items that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for easy-to-remove footwear like sneakers.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and keep your legs and feet moving.
