Great situation with its own underground car park; not that easy to find on first lap, as I was alone, but just before the steps to reception on the left……£10 charge was is fine.
A bit tired from the outside and needs a bit of TLC, but room was fine and…..roomy!!
Breakfast not worth bothering with, as just cold Continental, but so close to town, so other options?
Great value for position and practicality; helpful SA gent on reception on arrival - would revisit for sure, but don’t use if trying to create an impression!!
Parking good and efficient.
Breakfast adequate.
View non existent.
Very reasonable price
Bed very comfortable.
Minimum frills. What I expected for such a low price
Very convenient location for centre
Staff excellent.
I was in Cheltenham for a festival, so what mattered to me was a centrally-located hotel with car parking, decent bed & bathroom. All of which they have...along with friendly and helpful staff (always a bonus). The hotel was clean and quiet and provided a decent basic breakfast.
One point: car parking is limited, and would be challenging for anyone trying to put one of the big 4x4s so popular nowadays into one of the spaces.
Well overdue for refurbishment.
Garage - car parking spaces very narrow. A squeeze to get in and out of our car. If no carparks are available in the underbuliding park, you can park around the back, which is outside.
Elevator - while there is an elevator from the garage to our accommodation floor, the door would start to close then retract. This happened on more than one occasion and took about 4 attempts before it closed.
Bedroom/Bathroom. We had 2 single beds. Both mattresses where lumpy and we could feel the inner springs. Our 3rd floor room had a cracked window - from almost top to bottom. The carpet is worn.
The shower is over the bath and the bath tap was missing its cover plate and had hair hanging from it.
If you dont mind hearing the noise from the main street which which was one street over, where the pubs and restaurants are, and then dont mind the noise/chatter/yelling from those who have left the pubs, then this hotel is ideal for you. Hotel us on a one way system.
This hotel was outdated, dirty window and parking was tight.
We wouldn't stay there again.
Everything was old,
A cupboard that said, cool me which should have had a fridge in. There was nothing there. No spoons with the tea and coffee. No-one would want to stay more than one night. Sorry I am so negative but we were thinking of staying at a travelodge and decided to stay there thinking we would be staying at a hotel. Unfortunately this wasn't a bit like a nice hotel.
Great location in the centre of town with adequate parking, albeit a little tight.
You get what you pay for, comfortable clean room. This was our 3rd stay.
Photos are misleading. The property is very dated and has an institutional, impersonal, and outdated feel to it. Decor is garish. Too many shortcomings to list: burnt carpet, no toiletries (despite listed) just basic liquid soap, rumbling plumbing, cracks everywhere. To the staff's credit, the bathroom was clean as were the sheets and fluffy towels. Location is very central, useful for a short business trip. Overall disappointing however, I would hesitate to return. For a town with such great culture, history, and festivals, this standard is not acceptable. The management of this property might consider spending a bit less attention to branding, and a lot more investment in the fabric of the property.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Parking was flexible. I have a high top vehicle so could not get into underground car park so was directed to park at rear of the hotel.
Check-in was quick and easy and the person on reception was friendly. The room was quite dated, but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great, with plenty of pubs and places to eat close by. I felt our stay was extremely good value for money.

Room was clean, staff pleasant and friendly, good location
Lime scale all round the bath, taps and up the tile also on the shower door.
Plug sockets loose near window
Large burn mark on electric heater
Mold on window seal
Bed didn’t smell clean
Would not pay £92 for what we got would not recommend
Able to check in early. Friendly staff. Lovely room. Onsite parking.
Another pillow each would have been good but it didn't detract from our overall stay.

Would not recommend.
The hotel appeared dirty and had an odd smell. The room itself was not very nice. The windows were saturated with condensation which made the windowsill soaking wet which caused a damp environment. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and had a huge dip on one side. Also having a double room the beds pushed together was uncomfortable. The room was not clean, dirt on the bathroom floor and sink. The room was full of dust and grime.
