"The swimming pool is out of order at the moment. was not notified of this when booking only a couple of days before I arrived.
I was allocated room 56. Make sure you don’t get this room unless there is a heatwave. It was so cold that I had to ask to be moved during the night. The radiator does not appear to work in the room.
I stayed for 3 nights, two of which had road closures outside the hotel . On the Sunday the road was closed from 7 am to 1 pm so could not leave unless you walked - and this hotel is some way out of the centre of Chester. Again I was not notified when booking.
Staff ( other than the night porter and staff at breakfast) seemed entirely disinterested. No one actually apologised. I was offered another stay in the future, free of charge, but quite frankly I have no intention of ever returning"
