"Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is gorgeous, beautifully crafted and fabulously furnished, including the room I was allocated. "We have stayed at Slaley Hall a few times and always enjoyed our time there, it is our 'go to' place for a mini break. The Spa is very relaxing and the treatments/therapists are excellent. The staff on reception, the dining room and bars are all friendly, welcoming and willing to help. Big shout out to Marcus on reception who kindly offered to help get our bags from the car as my husband has mobility problems. Thank You , we will be back :) "
