"Checkout staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The onsen was welcoming for foreigners and we were informed tattoos were okay too, which was an unexpected surprise. Amenities (including robe for the onsen) were provided and there were vending machines easily accessible as well. Short walk to Yuzawa Station so it was very convenient. Compared to other properties in the area, it was nice to stay in a hotel with a private bathroom for only a slight price increase from hostel-style accommodations....

"Excellent stay! Extremely convenient location (right above various train lines station including to airport, abundance of shopping and food options), comfy beds, modern design with different lighting settings, spacious room with good city view and a big tub for bath soak (lavender, lemongrass etc provided). Train sounds can be heard tho if facing the train stations but it does not affect sleep as it’s not that crazily loud, esp if you have ear plugs or not a light sleeper. I had good sleep. Highly recommended!"

"The rooms were lovely. Unfortunately the toiletries are not in the room only in the onsen which I didn’t find ideal. The garbages in the rooms are really tiny and I’m all for sustainability but this doesn’t really make a lot of sense when you’re catering to travellers in a City that doesn’t provide garbage facilities leaving them no choice but to bring it back to their hotels. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with really wonderful staff. I just wanted to point out a couple things that could use tweaking. "

"Great stay at Toyoko Inn - there were shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko station to the hotel which was really convenient. Check in was smooth and the room was great too. Was able to see mt Fuji from my room too. Daily breakfast was delicious too - guests had 2 options (either Japanese or Western breakfast) to choose from. There were also some restaurants and convenient shops nearby. Overall would recommend a stay here!"
