Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again."

"We arrived after 10pm the hotel were very helpful in leaving us a message on where to collect our room key from, the room was big and clean, bathroom was good too, we had an enjoyable breakfast too, very friendly & helpful staff."

"Parking can be a problem if arriving later in the evening. Follow instructions given by owners. Breakfast is great staff friendly and helpful. Keep entry instructions handy as had a little trouble finding codes. Rooms 7 and 8 are not where you'd think !"

"It is under new management, it had been 'let go'. Our stay was tolerable. 1 member of staff was very good others not so. I believe that in the not too distant future it will be excellent, currently a work in progress"

"Bar and breakfast rooms were great..clean room..however we were given top floor room with four flights of stairs.. room too small for a double with very uneven floor.. Room was very hot window only opened six inches not much air coming in.fan provided was useless.. didn’t get much sleep as we were hot sticky and itratible..not going back.this was not in the heatwave.. the following weekend .."

"Clean room and comfortable bed, but the whole property is very tired and in need of major renovation. Rotten woodwork, peeling wallpaper, and a very dated bathroom. Small swimming pool, ok for kids. Friendly staff and efficient check in. Inexpensive and adequate for a one night stay."

"The twin room i booked was clean and presentable and fitted our needs perfectly. Breakfast in the morning was good and there was a menu to choose from so you choose your own variation of breakfast. Staff were helpful, friendly and polite, overall, even though we only stayed one night, as we were attending a family wedding nearby, i would have no hesitation on staying here again."

"It is a comfortable hotel with a slightly old fashioned feel, but it is a historic building and the staff are cheerful and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the heavy curtains to cut out the sunlight. The stairs to the second floor were a bit tricky for an older guest when carrying luggage, although staff would have helped. I would certainly return."
