"A top range property which had had a lot of thought put in to it but the while the under floor heating could be turned down it could not be put completely off and we were far to hot on occasion. It did feel a little impersonal and not to welcoming as the key was in the property and we had no contact at all with the owner or family "

"The room was not as we saw on the website, we didn’t have a garden view but a large wall, which made the room really dark, the carpet was stained, the breakfast was ok until my husband saw the chef put cereals spilt on the table back in the pots with the ones to be eaten , there was a big sign outside saying come and look at our refurbished rooms, we certainly didn’t get one "

The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. "On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really. "
