"lovely period building / very Emily Brontë :-) Owners were very helpful and the rooms pleasant. Parking is a little convoluted as you have to go to the house collect the parking voucher and return to the car and do the same on departure but the car park is only a few minutes walk away. "

"Absolutely stunning stay! This place is so peaceful and really allows you to ‘switch off’. The cottage was lovely, very spacious and homely. The only niggle we would have to mention would be the bed which wasn’t very comfortable at all (sorry) and good luck if you’re taller than 5’9! Other than that everything was really lovely and would definitely recommend. We would love to visit again if the bed was replaced for one that was bigger and more comfortable 😊"

"We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"I cannot fault this hotel. My partner and I had a lovely two-night stay. We opted for a classic double room and (unlike other standard double rooms I’ve stayed in, where you can barely move around the bed) it was a great sized room with a huge bed. Our stay included breakfast and it was very good - hot buffet and also cold bits (ham, cheese, yoghurt and fruit, croissants, etc) - something for everyone. "Our stay was perfect. We were away for a romantic trip and the cottage was perfect for that. The cottage was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need for a romantic few days away, including two big bath towels each, never mind all the other little touches and the excellent welcome basket. We would highly recommend it to anyone and would love to come back someday. "

"Our room was very good, although water pressure was very low. (Room209) However our friends had a room that had not been updated and that was markedly dated and ill-equipped. They had only one chair in a double room.(Room 230). The staff were always efficient and attentive with good sense of humour. Breakfast was excellent. "

"A little tucked away - so be aware not to drive by it quickly on the A55. Staff were excellent and the Burger King next door was great - the food was yummy (better than other BK's I've been too). Ideal location for onward trips to North Wales"

"I really liked this place, room was great, good parking, staff were excellent and my meal in the evening was really good with a nice wine list. However what let it down was the final hurdle, the breakfast. I ordered the full english but unfortunately my sausage was cold, bacon way over cooked (probably been cooked a while earlier) and the black pudding was just terrible. This was a disappointing end to what was a great stay. I will definately be back again and would encourage others to stay...

"Went hiking in snowdonia for the Easter weekend. Booked this place around a week before - at great price. Was given a bigger room than expected. Initially booked here to just crash for the nights but ended up getting local takeaways and enjoying them in the hotel room. Will definitely be back- can’t recommend enough. Bonus was having superchargers right outside the room. Only small downside was the tiny bins. "

"My brand new shirt that I was ironing to wear for a funeral was damaged due to a damaged ironing board. I had both the shirt and ironing board inspected by one of the reception staff who took photos of both to show the damage.
