"Perfect place to stay.."

"For what I paid for a night, I wasn't happy. The property is old and needs a face lift. My room was clean but dirty at the same time. There were stains running down the wall near the bed, curtains were missing, the tub was a dingy brown color( I didn't get in it)"

"The Glover Hotel is located within a reasonable distance from the embassy I was visiting on International Drive. The staff were responsive and provided extra blankets, towels and a microwave when requested. The room decor is average and nothing fancy. They provided a wheel chair for my mom for the two nights we were there. They don't offer free breakfast and shuttle bus to the airport. Something to keep in mind. There are separate but convenient bars and restaurant next to the hotel."

"The rooms are spacey and clean, nice bed including very comfortable pillows and mattress. Staff was exceptionally nice, both at check-in and ckeck-out and helpful throughout. Location is perfect in downtown Bethesda, 5 minutes away from public transportation by Metro. I highly recommend this place."

They could invest in a remodel not just for the sake of the décor, but for sound proofing since, at least on the night I stayed there, there were a few, very audible sirens out on the street overnight night. (The hotel gets a pass on the B1-B bomber flying low with afterburners.)"

"Having Starbucks on site was awesome. It made for a quick and easy breakfast option for my family and I. The pool was great. Loved the rooftop feature. However, the hours were terrible. It was 11 AM to 8 PM. We were generally out of the hotel well before 11 AM to go do stuff. By the time, we would get back to the hotel, the pool was either closed or closing within minutes of our arrival. Otherwise, the hotel itself was very clean and spacious. The staff did an amazing job with ensuring the beds...

"Don’t use the pool unless you like swimming in a pool while it’s draining with no lifeguard to warn you! And then have to chase THEM around for 12 hours for an update, talking to 6 different people, only to offer a pathetic “compensation” aka a DISCOUNT off 1 night :)"

"Clean hotel in a good location for what I needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The valets were fast. One of the two elevators was not working, but they provided signed access to the two staff elevators to make up for it."
