"After check in we were advised that we were in “The Residence” section of the hotel. Upon entering we were greeted by filthy carpeted stairs leading up to our room. On opening the door we were then met by a vile smell…the room had clearly not been used/aired for some time. The carpet was covered in stains, the bed frame fabric was ripped, a freestanding chair was also covered in stains. All this before inspecting the bathroom….disgustingly dirty. It was evident from the certificates and photos around the place that it had been a hotel & restaurant of note with award winning credentials. "Worst experience ever. Don’t be fooled by the Ramada name,it’s at best a one star hotel. No air conditioning at all, it was 30 degrees in June and they provided a single desk fan for five of us. We asked for an additional fan and they refused our request. After asking again in 24 hours time they gave us one more fan.
