"The overall stay at Purbeck House was okay. We had a very interesting mini tour with Alex. Our room was on two levels and very spacious . It would have benefitted from some artwork on the walls. Also, a proper bathmat. I nearly slipped over getting out of the bath as the textured surface is small. The shower gel bottles are a waste of time. "Excellent location right opposite the castle. Very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good food at the 18 restaurant with a 30 per cent discount for hotel guests. Would definitely return in the future."

"Lovely clean and tidy hotel. The rooms look refurbished and were spotless. We had the family room which was bigger than we were expecting. Two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. The staff were pleasant. Parking plentiful. Breakfast (eggs, hash browns, beans, sausages, bacon etc.) was included. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Perfect for our stay."

"The hotel is comprises of a main building and some houses and annexes. Sadly, the room we were given was in a damp annexe, and to our surprise when we opened the door there was someone in there!
