Cowra has quite a unique history from WWII. A visit to the POW Campsite, and the Japanese Gardens are well worth it. There's also a rail museum in town, and wineries nearby.

The Japanese Gardens were an unexpected pleasure. Definitely worth several hours if you appreciate nature and Japanese culture.
