"DO NOT BOOK. 12 hours before check in we were told we were being moved to an alternative apartment with a shared bathroom. This was not suitable for us at all and so I asked them to cancel our booking and send a refund, needing to book alternative accommodation last minute for more money. I have waited a week and still no refund despite asking numerous times and keep being put off. Stay well away."

"Beautiful space, kind staff, and quietly near to the train, and a lovely 15 minute walk to the city centre."

"Great location, service and host."

"Such a lovely place to stay. The apartment was in a building connected to the main mansion, so make sure to follow the directions that are sent to you about finding it if yours is there as well. Perfectly decorated, very comfortable room. The main mansion, it was so lonely and authentically historic. The owner and the operator is on call when she is not there. Do not hesitate to call her. She gave me a wonderful tour of the grounds, including the hunting lodge and hothouse."

"Fantastic hotel, very central to the main part of Ghent. Staff were very friendly and the pillows were amazing."

"Wonderful stay in the suite at the One Two Four. Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful accommodation and the spa was a great addition to our trip. We had breakfast in the restaurant on one morning which was fresh and delicious. We would definitely recommend."

"Une maison pour vous faire oublier fatigue et soucis, un havre de paix pour donner l‘envie irrésistible de revenir au plus vite. Merci pour votre accueil!"

"Bright and cosy and stylish and comfortable"

"The host was extremely helpful and very nice. Nice grounds. Loved the Magdalena - we will stay there again."

"The hosts were very nice and helpful with advice for our travels. Breakfast was fabulous, and our room was comfortable and clean with a large jetted bathtub that was perfect. "
