"Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend."

"Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but...

"I liked the availability of stair gates, as the steps were very steep. The house is in a walkable distance from the shops. Also handy to have a convenient store next door. I received a warm welcome with some treats (thank you very much). "
