"We arrived to check into an accessible room. No help was offered to navigate a small set of steps to our room. No explanation of the amenities available or what time breakfast was served . The following morning our television didn't work breakfast was £16.95 for full english so we ate elsewhere. The room occupied was on par for the standard of the hotel, albeit the slope of the floor in the shower made you feel as though you might tumble out of the shower. The restaurant felt somewhat cramped with tables sited at both ground level and on raised platforms, which gave the impression of either looking down on other diners or being watched. "We have just arrived home after an excellent weekend at hotel 52. The girls in bar and restaurant could not do enough for us, and the food in rango's was very good. The only downside was as the weather was very sunny our rooms were very warm as there is no AC. But that said we will definitely be back."

"Excellent hotel . Our room was spacious, clean and had the benefit of air conditioning which was very welcome during this present heat wave. The lobby had an air of luxury and the gym was excellent. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and courteous. All in all we had a lovely 3 night break and will definitely be staying there again. Highly recommended."

"Let’s get the negatives out of the way - breakfast quality was dubious - not sure how they made scrambled eggs and cramped buffet area. The hotel is, of course, a Victorian railway hotel. The front windows need a clean. This is our second visit. Rooms are good. Would I rush back??? Probably not, but central location is a positive and parking (albeit at cost). "Basic hotel, but clean room and comfortable bed. Staff really friendly and helpful. Stay included breakfast, but limited really to takeaway style bags in which to take your choices to your room, or sit at small tables in reception. Would probably give it a miss if staying again. Location is in the middle of large industrial estate, so whilst its cheap, and ok just to put your head down for a night or two, it is limited in what it can offer to tourists."

"The hotel makes an immediate impression on first sight, occupying an impressive location in well-maintained grounds. Our accommodation was spacious and well appointed, albeit its cleanliness can best be described as ok. The restaurant is well presented even if the carpet shows a few silver snail trails. Breakfast was on par for the standard of the hotel while the fine dining offering experienced was of questionable value. Overall, the hotel reflects a slick business model."

"As many have said, this is a dated hotel with a very 1970s feel. We stayed on a Friday night as we had an early flight the next day, and the car park was very busy (as was the bar, so we ended up eating in a side room). The food was actually pretty good. The rooms were fairly basic but comfortable, and we felt safe the whole time. It was a very short walk to the airport the next morning (I asked if they did wake-up phone calls and got a firm 'no').
