"The check in process was a bit odd. Was being asked about when I booked and other weird details when I had the booking confirmation in front of me and the booking name etc. The room was absolutely fine, the bed was so comfy, the shower was nice and hot and spacious, there was air con which was an absolute godsend. The music from downstairs wasn’t too loud so didn’t need the ear buds but nice touch! All in all a very good cheap stay! Would be perfect if you didn’t hear people opening and closing...

"Arriving is a little dodgy - we got there around noon, and had plans to meet friends. They wouldn't check us in, and told us if we got back after 11PM (when the pub closes) we would be unable to check in. They did hold our bags. This made us have to burn some time until 3PM when they could check us in, so we would have a key to re-enter later. Not super convenient. "Great village pub in a quiet village, rooms are great and have everything you need - nice touch of breakfast cereals, milk, yogurts and fruit for breakfast. Staff are all very helpful. The pub has an excellent food menu with lots of choices, we had our evening meal here. A great nights stay before we headed for Le Shuttle which was only 40 minutes away, an ideal stopover to start our trip."
