Poor carpet dirty thick marks badley frade at inner door, flickering bed lights, Bathroom door not shutting, Bathroom wall paper miss coloured patchy ,Toilet loose on wall, Basson waist pipe cross threaded, Bath area two chains on plug and not connected, tiles not grouted, 4 tiles slack agents wall. No alcohol licence so could not have a drink. Male receptionist hard to understand. High risk of electrical fire or being hit by loose tiles."

"The room was clean and comfortable. Yea and coffee provided. Plenty of space to get ready. Bed was comfortable. We had been out drinking and was a late night the morning after I asked if we could extend our check out time the request was accepted at no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone."

"Extremely helpful staff, provides gluten free food when required without making a big fuss like some places. The rooms are clean and tidy although they could do with a little updating, but the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff make up for this minor point "

"We had a 2 week stay in December due to family circumstances and really could find no fault. The staff team are really lovely, always friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Very clean throughout and breakfast was plentiful. We felt very safe there and parking outside the door. Excellent base for Doncaster town. "

"Staff, service and food were excellent. Exactly when you'd come to expect from a Holiday Inn. Sadly however the room looked tired and in need of some much needed TLC with a distinct lack of beside plugs and although the room was at far end of the building and away from general foot traffic it was right above the air handling units and plant so was noisey at night. The pool and locker rooms werent much better. The locker room was dirty (however, it was late in the day) and there was a nasty...

"The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed linen in particular was immaculate Tea, instant coffee and UHT milk were provided. The staff were courteous and very helpful."

"As always The Roger Thorpe hits the mark! 10/10! Great service and food. I spoke to a guest who had never stayied before and he said exactly the same! 5 star service, food and room! Great to support a local family hotel. I will be staying again very soon."

"The room was fine, but had a strange smell. The air conditioner was too hot, and didnt seem to cool the room down. The fridge didnt work in the room. Staff at the front desk seemed distracted, telling me that maintenance had been, but I ended up fixing it myself in the end. Note: if the is light on in the fridge doesn't mean the fridge is on. No room service "
