"The room is immaculate, there are nice touches like ground coffee and a french press, first time I have had this even in £500+ a night rooms. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside. The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. There is no aircon or fan so we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows and it was fine. Old school air...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and had all the facilities we could possibly ask for including a secure private garden section with decking area, perfect for the dogs. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others."

"We wondered what we had let ourselves in for on arrival. How surprised we were as our stay progressed. The breakfasts were supreme, the service with a smile by our host, David, wonderfully assisted by Allison. Nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasurable stay. "The location was simply perfect, with a lovely proximity to all the eateries and amusements in the area, as well as the walks and scenery. Our room was clean, warm and spacious and we all slept very soundly (better than at home)! The breakfast was perfect, exactly the right amount to kickstart our days with a lovely selection too. "Welcoming hosts, lovely views and a clean room. We had a great breakfast with lots of options. Great attention to details and an overall perfect stay. "

"Stayed here for 2 night's in June and loved it, the place is warm and welcoming, the bed was massive and comfy with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Shower was easy to use and very clean, definitely stay here again. Breakfast was freshly cooked and cooked how you like it, the host was friendly and veey helpful."

"My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of December in the Warren room and it was so comfortable! Ziz was the perfect host, what a lovely place the Sheriff Lodge is, close to town and 5 mins from a lovely nearby pub for an evening meal. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice, the homemade granola topped with fruit was the best! Overall a wonderful place to stay and we will return in the summer. "Only a one-night stay but service was excellent and very accommodating. The room was very clean and had all necessary en-suite facilities including Tea/Coffee making with essential biscuits. Breakfast was included in the price but I was leaving at 5.15 in the morning to catch a balloon flight. The staff provided cereal to take to the bedroom overnight and offered to provide a sandwich if we were unable to arrive back before end of breakfast at 9.30.
