"Room was bright and clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous, surrounded by lava rock.The pools were great. The adult pool hardly ever had anyone in it, but even the main pool was never too crowded and always had a great vibe. The food at the restaurants was good but came at a price. The breakfast buffet is not worth it at $37 per person. You're better off ordering from the breakfast menu or using the grab & go option. I would overall recommend eating out in Kailua-Kona rather than at the hotel. The poolside bar is convenient for small bites and drinks while relaxing at the pool. We wanted to attend the Luau (which only runs twice a week) but were told that it was cancelled due to low attendance numbers, which was a real shame. I'm not sure how often that happens or if we stayed during a slow time (end of October). The hotel is conveniently located to the bay where many snorkeling and manta ray tours leave from. We did both and enjoyed them immensely."

"Excellent stay. Loved the resort, bell men were great but front desk can use a little smile and Aloha vibe. Rooms were god although the refrigerator leaked in the bottom and master King bed TV did not work but was mentioned to the front desk but did not receive a follow up if we wanted someone to take care of the issue during our stay. But had a wonderful time nonetheless. Thank you"

"The staff was amazing! Room cleaning was top notch. Amenities were great..only thing we would like to see change is remove carpet from room. Its kinds dirty/shaby.. also the shower was a little smelly. Maybe some drain cleaning under the strainer.. We look forward to the return. "
