"Stopped here for one night to sleep on our way to Tennessee. Fire alarm went off twice (it was a false alarm, thankfully) not their fault but alarm obviously needs to be fixed. Sleep was not restful at all and it was disappointing after needing to do another long drive"

"Had an unexpected stop in Staunton, VA due to tire problems… booked the Blackburn Inn last minute to stay over and get van new tires. Pulled up and thought we were at wrong place. A beautiful historic colonial building looked like a college campus but was the Blackburn Inn. I researched and found out it used to be a hospital built in 1800’s. Very clean, well maintained and restored. The front desk allowed me to keep my room till noon on checkout while waiting for van repair. Only disappointment was the on site bar/ grill is seasonal and we had to go elsewhere for bite to eat. Excellent find… thanks Expedia and Blackburn Inn"
