"Our room was 205 room needs a bit of an upgrade plus the floor was running on a slant so if you moved on the bed to quick you could fall out on to the floor apart from that everything was fine staff very helpful food was good I know it's an old building but these things matter also we would have no hesitation coming back to stay again maybe just another room thanks"

Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. "

"The hotel is in a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a room with a balcony with lovely views. The room was small and in need of an upgrade in my opinion. Older furniture. The bathroom whilst a good size with nice toiletries was also looking tired in parts. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate Sunday lunch in the restaurant. "Thoroughly enjoyed my 3-night stay at the Edwardene. The bed and bedding were top notch and I slept so well there. The shower also was great, as were the wonderful lemongrass-scented soaps, lotions, shampoo, body wash, etc. Breakfast options were plentiful and I also liked the lounge area on the 2nd floor with an honor system for coffee and other beverages. All staff were friendly and helpful - they were there when needed and attentive to any questions. It was such a restful and pleasant place...

"Great location in town centre. Stay spoiled by sewer odour in bathroom that couldn’t be disguised by the scented bottle they put in there. Property also didn’t reply to an email I sent about an item I left behind in the room."

"The room was clean and the breakfast was good The only issue was the stairs to the room as our room was on the 3 floors there were a lot of stairs to climb and we both OAP which was very tiring. On the hold it was a good experience but we would not stay again due to the stairs."
