"I booked this hotel primarily in the excellent ratings which I cannot understand based on my experience.
The hotel is well located within the Colonial Zone however there were several detractors.
First and foremost, the rooms don’t have any air-conditioning which is a major flaw in a city as hot as Santo Domingo.
My room (104) was in the ground floor and was very dark with no sun coming through the windows.
The breakfast was mediocre at best with very limited selection and the scrambled eggs...

"Our Room was horrible. It was old, dirty and disgusting.
The property in general was nice.
The staff was nice, except one person at the check in desk, who was outright rude.
Also, 2 ladies at the Gift Shop were extremely inattentive - they couldn`t have cared less for any customers in the store.
The room was a huge disappointment for such a place."
