"I stayed in Room 2.
Nice supply of toiletries, biscuits, t-bags and coffee.
Strangest thing - no shower curtain or screen, and no hook for the showerhead, so water went everywhere. Can't believe this issue hasn't been mentioned previously. Only need to put up a pressure rod with shower curtain to stop this happening.
Had Bubble & Squeak with bacon & egg for dinner. I felt the B&S was too large and not crispy but otherwise it was hot and the mustard sauce tasty.

"Great location. Lovely rooms as I’ve stayed in the hotel many times. Comfortable and clean. Gorgeous toiletries to use. Small car park but parking near by if you can’t park at the hotel but I’ve only had this issue once or twice. Highly recommended hotel"

"The George is in a very central place in Cheltenham, it’s close to all the bus's needed to got to the Cotswolds and beyond. The staff are extremely helpful and give good advice regarding the area. We had the continental breakfast and there was plenty of healthy food and drinks available. We also had some cooked to order breakfasts and these were exceptionally good. On the downside some of the carpets on the stairs need renewing. Overall I’d give the George 9/10."

"Booked for 4 nights.Towels and bins should have been changed on 3rd morning.Not done.Towels changed on 4th night.Bins over flowing and smelly not emptied during stay.Staff pleasant but lackadaisical.Outside steps were filthy.Not a good look at all.Will probably stay there again because location was excellent.Overall 6 out of 10"

"Everything was great - no issues. Car parking was also well integrated but it appeared to be only 24hr blocks. Might be handy if you arrive early to be able to get 26 or 30 if exploring the next day.
Room was large and airy, nicely decorated and bathroom was clean and well appointed with everything you need. Only thing I couldn't locate was info about mini bar and if the water in the fridge was complimentary or chargeable.
I'd happily stay again."

"Surprised by the quality of the room and had a comfortable night's sleep. Air con was working well, TV was good, bathroom with a bath was bright and modern. Food and drinks are on the expensive side. Staff did a good job of welcoming us. Be warned, it does say on the listing, rooms on the 1st floor do not have lift access, so if you struggle with stairs worth making a deliberate accessibility request. "We liked the location of this hotel, a quiet area within walking distance of the centre of Cheltenham.
Our room was large and clean. The sink had a large crack which didn’t look great considering our first impression was a good one.
Breakfast was good, not great, but good.
Compliments to all the staff who were charming, welcoming and efficient throughout."
