"Cute hotel at the end of a private drive. We had room 201 and shared with friends of ours. The room was very tidy and spacious, with a lovely balcony with great views. Yes, the bathroom smelled like sulfur but it's common in Iceland with hot water. The common area was very spacious and was a great place to hang out. "Iceland is gorgeous, but the weather can be uncooperative, so I chose Hotel Viking. I had a triple room and a side view of the water. There is a sauna, hot tub, and breakfast in the hotel and an amazing restaurant with lots of Viking artifacts ten steps away. So if the weather was terrible the entire time, you would still have an authentic Icelandic experience. Hotel Viking was even better than I expected in so many ways. Great staff as well, very accommodating!"
