"When I arrived I was greeted by a very sweet old lady and man. They showed me to my room with so much kindness. I could feel the love. My room has strong air conditioning (very important during summer) I was served an incredible dinner in a private room and I enjoyed a bath. "We drove to Hoshinoya Fuji, as it was dark, the entry towards the check-in area is very easy to missed, suggest to have more road sign leading towards the resort. Once we checked in, there is a car to pick us up to our room up the mountain. The view of Fuji is stunning, if you are lucky enough to see it. "Super friendly staff and helpful. Owner came and greeted us himself upon checking in. Hotel older and dated however family ran and super clean. It was a great experience at a traditional ryokan. Onsen was great and open til 8 AM. Location is far from town, but accessible by local bus. Totally worth the trek, great scenery even tho we missed Mt Fuji due to fog. I guess it gives us a reason to come back. 😊"
