"Upon arrival, we were utterly disappointed. The photos do not properly depict the hotel’s terrible condition. The room was disgusting, it looked as though it had been previously broken into, it was not clean, the sheets were not white, but a dingy grey. We very quickly requested a refund and continued on our way to find something better. The man at the front desk was very helpful and assured us that a refund had been processed. Please do yourself a favour and don’t consider staying here."

"Was okay for one night to get a shower and the sheets seemed clean. The curtain rod and curtains fell off the back window when I tried to open them and the TV had no sound -tried everything with the complicated two remote controls - nope."

"Room ok, breakfast better some days than others. Motel had a restaurant at one time that’s now just the complimentary breakfast area. We told front desk that our shampoo bottle hanging in shower was empty, ignored."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was just ok. Bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned with hair left on the shower walls. Air conditioner was in poor condition and making noises. Free wifi was advertised but we ended up having to pay for it and it was not worth it. Not enough bandwidth."

"Great place to stop for an overnight trip through the top of Lake Superior. They even had a treat for our dog. Lovely staff and great destination. I recommend getting over to the rail museum if you have a little time "
