"Beautiful property, in urgent need of maintenance and remodeling. Beds and mattresses are in very bad condition, carpets have had it. Only 5 AC equipped rooms. We got four of them and ACs were working on two of them."

"Prachtige locatie en uniek eeuwenoud pand. Het ontbijt was ook erg lekker en echt Engels. Helaas was het personeel bij de receptie slordig en weinig behulpzaam bij vragen. Heel teleurstellend ook dat toen ik een geliefde jas per ongeluk heb laten hangen bij vertrek, niemand me kon helpen. Telefonisch en per mail weinig respons gekregen en niemand van de schoonmaak had blijkbaar de jas gevonden. Balen en een slechte reclame. Verder een schitterend hotel maar verlies er geen spullen...."

"We were in room 8 which is a large room with 2 very comfortable chairs and a settee. The bathroom was also large and very clean. The room is north facing with a large window which you can open which meant that it was very cool during the recent hot weather; there was also a tower fan as the building has no air conditioning. It is at the back of the building so there is no noise from the road. Breakfast was good and the staff are very polite and helpful. Highly recommended."
