"Lovely hotel on the outskirts of the city. Perfect location for exploring both the city centre and the surrounding area. Only a 10 minute walk to the metro or the bus stop is right outside. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. Plenty of amenities including hot beverage facilities, hairdryer, toiletries. We had plenty of choice for breakfast, both continental and cooked. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Really helpful in answering any questions. Free onsite parking is a bonus. Would we stay here again - definitely."

"Very pleasant stay! Easy, free parking directed by a concierge Easy check in, arrived early and our room was ready for us. Room was spotless and very well maintained, had everything we needed and a lovely view of the castle. All staff very pleasant and helpful when needed including the bar staff in the Redwood bar which was a lovely peaceful experience with a a great selection of whisky to just relax at the end of the night. Convenient location, just a short walk from the main part of the city. The Vermont will now be my go to hotel for Newcastle "
