"Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. We were able to walk to Highclere Castle from the hotel (20 minute walk) which was great because...

"This is a very quirky old building! We used this property as an overnight stay prior to a flight and it was just perfect for what we needed, we didn’t arrive until about 9pm so didn’t have food but had a couple of drinks in the bar and very short distance to the airport in the morning. Also unlike some of the chain hotels we looked at there was no fee for overnight parking at the hotel. Would definitely recommend and use this hotel again!"

"Rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The weakpoint is the breakfast: there is not enough space and table to all of the guests, and the breakfast itself is very limited. There were no vegetables, not a single slice of cucumber or tomato or salad. The bread just ran out and they didn't replace it while we were eating. Improvement around the breakfast could raise the quality of the hotel a lot."
