"This hotel was a perfect choice for a family trip. The breakfast was delicious, and the kids especially enjoyed the tree swing and the complimentary s’mores. The pool was also very clean, allowing them to have a great time safely. The location was another big plus, as it was close to both downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, making it very convenient to get around. If I ever visit Bar Harbor again, I would definitely stay at this hotel."

"The property is at the walking distance from the downtown which awards having to drive and Park. The staff is very nice and if you are, someone who already had been over there they will remember you, which is a nice touch. They remembered I had the Service dog and they did remember that."

"Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience at this hotel. In the middle of the night, while we were asleep, someone unlocked and attempted to open our room door. Fortunately, the security latch stopped the door from opening completely, although the force partially ripped the door trim from the wall. The room had only the standard door lock and the security latch. After this incident, I had to wedge a chair under the door handle to keep the door secure for the rest of the night. Needless...

"The property is convenient to town. The facilities are in reasonable condition. We have stayed at this property a number of times over the past 5 years and unfortunately , the breakfast has gotten worse on the last two visits. The previous stay no one showed up to put out the breakfast supplies. On this trip fewer options were available than what was offered in the past. And the juice dispensing machine was not operating and there was only one choice for tea. I hope they can do better."

It’s close enough to the Village Green and Bar Harbor shopping to walk, but far enough out that you don’t have all of the traffic or congestion. "It's an older building, but well maintained... the only (minor) issue we had in our room was one blind got stuck closed. The staff was super accommodating for a late arrival... when we phoned they gave clear instructions on how to access our room, and even managed to provide us breakfast the next morning despite our arrival time being well after the cut-off to submit a breakfast order for the next day. Breakfast was impressively good, with a nice array of choices and great quality delivered...

"The property is fabulous and stunning, right on the water with amazing views. The pool is.wonderful. Our room was large and very comfortable with a.small balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel. It made our stay near Acadia National Park over the top. The one and only issue was intermittent and weak WiFi."

"As a solo traveler, I honestly don’t understand why this place has such a low rating. It was exactly what I needed for my trip. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great hot water after long days of hiking, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. "Location of inn was excellent! Close to downtown area, but away from any significant tourist traffic. The garden and amenities were lovely. Made to order breakfast included with cost of stay was a bonus! Staff was by and large helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we had issues with a constantly running toilet that also intermittently would not flush. They came and “fixed” the problem twice, but I was putting my hand in the toilet tank multiple times a day to remedy the problem myself. Not ideal....
