Like many post war buildings on Eastbourne seafront, the hotel shows it's age in it's physical state and basic amenities. Cleanliness is excellent and what continues to make the once Majestic still Majestic is the friendly, attentive and hospitable attention of the staff. They work with a smile and, by the way, the breakfast buffet is excellent.

The hotel is the a great location, the hotel need a fair bit of TLC in terms of leaky pipes etc. The staff are super helpful and action things as quickly as possible.

Decided to stay in in was for a extra night and booked the majestic which has newly been renovated and spruced up with a nice new colour scheme wirh the exterior painted Larger thdn expected single romm looking out towards the downs. Very comfy bed and was clean with nice new carpeting unlike the hotel I stayed at the previous 4 nights. Will be re booking and staying here again as I come to stay in Eastbourne 6 times a year

You have received what you paid for.

The location was excellent, and the staff were friendly. However, the room was small, the bed was too soft, and the shower without half a door. Additionally, I couldn't open the window. The breakfast offered only a full English option, but it was good. There were no day parking tickets available, so I had to pay the full parking rate. It's a good value for the price.

Room was basic and clean. No tea / coffee facilities though. Breakfast was very basic. Although trying to have a coffee in the morning or any time during the day was met with an unwelcoming attitude from the staff. The garden and pool are great unfortunately there is no way of getting a drink. Other hotel are more expensive but certainly worth the extra cost

Avoid the place

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room had a strong mold smell due to visible mold stains on the wall near the bed, which forced me to keep the window open at night. Unfortunately, the window was next to the hotel roof where a group of pigeons had nested, making it noisy and uncomfortable. The kettle provided was extremely old, dirty, and absolutely unsuitable for use. The bathroom conditions were even worse: mold inside the shower box, the originally white shower base turned yellow with age, and the water pressure and temperature constantly fluctuating between too strong/weak and hot/cold, making it an unpleasant experience. The only positive aspect of my stay was the staff, who were very friendly and polite. Apart from that, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

Fantasic location, poor hotel.

The hotel is really run down and needs a good clean. The first room that we was allocated was filthy. The bathroom hadnt seen a cleaner for a while, hairs in the shower, a huge puddle of water just randomly on the floor, no hand soap. We asked to move rooms, and the second room was better but not much. The shower door was broken so water leaked out everytime it was in use, questionable stains on the walls and lamp shades. Just really run down rooms. The lady on reception didnt seem at all surpised that we found the rooms dirty. The place needs a really good deep clean & a lick of paint. We wont be staying here again.

When looking at this hotel it looked lovely on this site but when we got there the rooms don't look anything like them. I definitely wouldn't of paid £163 for that hotel. We was placed on the 3rd floor and the lift was out of order. The kettle was rusty. No hairdryer in the room. Only one bedside lamp worked.I asked for a fan because the room was so hot, only window would open. The fan was sent to another room so had to go back downstairs again to get another one which wasn't worth having. The shower cubicle was tiny and looked dirty. The water kept going hot and cold. The staff was nice and the location was good. I tried add photos but it won't let me.

Nice stay at the Bay Majestic

Asked for a different room so we got bigger windows, which was arranged no problem (thank you). Overall it was a nice stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ordered at the table. Sausage I was served was clearly a very budget one. Shame as the rest of the hot breakfast was good. Choice of 'other' breakfast was limited to 3 cereals and toast. Checkout at 10am is very early
