"All the staff I encountered were really great--super cool and conversational, but the room was a real disappointment. I walked through the door and walked into a wall of stench. It smelled like wet dogs had vacationed in the room. I usually sleep like a rock, but the stink kept me awake for a while. The shower was also not clean. "

"The lobby, bar, and other common areas are very nice and clean. The rooms have everything that you need in them. And the elevators are super efficient and fast even when it felt like a lot of people were going up and down. If you do self parking, it is just around the corner maybe a 50 yd walk. Just keep that in mind."

"While I wanted to love this place because I love a historic hotel and the staff were beyond kind and thorough, the age and lack of maintenance became deterrents rather than charming. A smell of age, and not in a good way, permeates the property. Inside the room, things are dirty and worn down. The chair was covered with a myriad of stains and some kind of physical substance (perhaps food?). The bathroom grout, floor boards, and fixtures all needed attention. "Room was very spacious and clean, staff were nice, the pool is nice but it’s too humid to the point me and my guests couldn’t stay in there longer than 10 minutes, the view in the suite was very pretty, it has good lighting all around and a nice little kitchen that comes with everything you would need to cook a meal, would for sure come back and get this same room, one of the only hotels with a suite that is worth the price!"

"We came to Portland for a concert at Moda Center. Hotel was in good location for taking the TriMet to concert venue. Valet was very helpful with directions & recommendations of good restaurants. Room itself was small & had a stale odor but was clean."
