The hotel is near everything you need: market, restaurant, tram station, pubs… although the bed is so small and they don’t keep your luggage overnight, what it was a problem to us.
People are so friendly and they helped us all the time.
g had an excellent stay at Destiny Student lovely 33room with a view and room very clean, bedding excellent and staff verey helpful and frendly. Everything we wanted. would stay there again.
Conveniently located & easy to get too from airport. Lots of cafes nearby.
Need to remember its NOT a hotel (student accommodation).... which was more than adequate...
Rooms are nice and clean. Kitchen are supplied with kitchen tools and supplies to cook up a meal. A great alternative to a hotel and a 30 minute walk to the city center.
Really nice location, very basic but comfortable. Between two Tram stops and a sainsburys and starbucks in the immediate vacinity. Very lovely staff especially Aimee who was friendly on check in and Josh, who was very helpful on checkout. Keep up the good work!!

The staff were great. The place was a very close walk to the tram , which was amazing for getting around the city. The place was clean and the building felt secure. As a student dorm , it was as expected, nothing flashy but that’s all that was needed to enjoy the city. There is a grocery store and a Starbucks very close which was also very convenient.

The receptionist are friendly. It was not easy to find a flat and my room.
There are a few supermarkets near the accommodation.
Great location, friendly personnel, but the communal areas were very dirty, looks like it have never been cleaned. Rooms very basic, but you get what you pay for, cant expect 4 star hotel amenities for this price. If you are on the low budget and do not care where you sleep, this is the option for you.
Everything was great except the room looked much bigger in the photo. But Edinburgh hotels are so out of reach, we were very glad of the student accommodation so we could attend our daughter's graduation. Thank you.
Our expectations weren't set high, knowing this was Student accommodation, so pleasantly surprised by the free toiletries and tea/coffee.
Small room and access only from one side of the bed but fit our purpose.
Couldn't fault the service and nice cafes available nearby.
Great use of otherwise empty rooms in a busy city.

Very easy walk to the station and city centre with lots of trams and buses. On a main road so very noisy but you can get free ear plugs from reception. The mattress was quite uncomfortable and would have benefited from a topper.
Grim cell, no bedside lights, immovable ‘ double’ bed too small for two, shelves with sharp edges that stuck out into the mattress space and caught you when you moved in your sleep, desk overlapping the mattress…. Awful, if clean. Overpriced. One night was the maximum anyone could stick this.
If you are on a budget, Destiny Shrubhill is a very good option. The staff are great and the rooms bright and airy. The internet/wifi is excellent.
You can catch a tram every six minutes from St Andrews Square (near the northern exit from Waverley station) to the MacDonald Road stop, a journey of about five or eight minutes, and then walk downhill for about three minutes.
There are some small issues. To use the washing machine, you first need to spend half an hour downloading an app in a room with no mobile reception. It would be better to make prepaid washing cards available. Also, the chair supplied did not fit under the desk, which makes working a bit difficult. And it would have been good to have a top sheet as well as the duvet.
But these are minor suggestions for improvement, and this is a great place to stay.

Such a handy location, with bus and tram options to move about easily.
Good modern, and clean, accommodation very walkable from Edinburgh Waverley station. As student accommodation it does not have same luxuries as a hotel; however the place more than met my needs and I would definitely stay here again.
