The staff are genuinely welcoming, not just polite, which makes a difference when you’re staying a few days. The views are outstanding, especially sitting above the cloud layer at around 1,400 meters. From a cycling standpoint, the location is hard to beat. You’re essentially on the climb the moment you roll out. You can head straight toward Teide or descend as far as you like...

"The room was in okay condition but the cleaning was poor, the music was extremely loud and it continued until 11pm every night, when that finished there was music from some bar outside by the beach that was unbearable. If you are half board the most ridiculous thing is that they dont even give you tap water for dinner. "Would 100% stay here again! We did 4 nights and upon check-in we were offered the crown services package, an extra €20 per person per night for unlimited soft drinks, alcohol, own private area and late check-out. It was a no brainer and 100% worth it. Staff were amazing, food was great, hotel immaculate! Loved the fact that it was adults only too, super relaxing break and we will definitely book again!"

"We liked the spacious kitchen, room and balcony, it felt big enough for our family of 4 (parents sleeping on sofa bed which did the job). No one came to clean our room at all during our 7 night stay so we did have to get some emergency toilet rolls and bin bags and it would have been nice for this service (we could have asked on reception if we were that bothered). We also kept seeing people stealing ice creams from the poolside fridge which we found annoying as we were paying €3.50 for each one...

"Tiene muchas cosas buenas, está en el centro del puerto de la Cruz, cerca de todo, habitaciones excelentes,amplias, cogimos una para 3 adultos y tenía 3 camas cómodas y grandes, limpieza un 10, trato amable y muy bueno, precio excepcional. Pero tiene un par de contras, no tiene aparcamiento cerca y el ascensor comienza en la primera planta, no recomendable para personas con problemas de movilidad."

"Spent my first solo holiday in Alousoul hotel, it was amazing. All of the staff were so friendly. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel, so much choice and the complementary cookies and flavoured water were lovely. Location wise it’s perfect, a short walk to the beaches and restaurants. Would definitely return."
