"On arrival we were welcomed by the very friendly receptionist. Even though we were early, the room was ready and welcoming. The hotel is old and full of character but tastefully decorated, giving an airy feeling. It appears to have been recently refurbished to a good standard. The bed was very comfortable and the large bathroom had a really good over bath shower! Breakfast was very pleasing! Staff were friendly and attentive, providing everything we needed. The food was fresh and beautifully cooked, locally sourced. Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointment was not having a garden as advertised, but this was explained. We had a very pleasant few days."

"Room 301 - Incredible view of the estuary and beach. Room is dated but clean. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Don't expect all mod cons. Great selection of teas and coffee. Lovely breakfast a nice surprise. Worth the money for location alone!"
