"This was a lovely Inn. It was spotlessly clean everywhere and very well maintained.
The staff were all friendly.
The breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice for everyone.
We had a room in one of the ouside lodges with a bacony. These were in a block of 6, 3 at the front overlooking the grounds and gardens and 3 at the back with views of trees.
The back rooms had a problem with seeds from the trees dropping all over our balcony and on the seating area. I felt sorry for the room maid...

"I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel.
The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover.
However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening."

"An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats.
Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price."

"The setting of this hotel is beautiful. The room we had was recently renovated and was extremely comfortable. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. "Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean .
Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . "
