"Room was clean, the decor was in need of a refresh. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms is very off putting and had me worried about the room itself. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. "

"A lovely old world pub, the highest in Britain. Lovely ambience, cosy bar areas and nice rooms. Just a few scruffy areas like the carpet going up to the accommodation and the ceiling and floor of the bathroom sliding door area. However it is understandable with being a busy pub with people with work boots and walking boots constantly in and out. The food was good, with lots of choice and well cooked. "Room was large and clean with a bath and shower. The hotel is in a beautiful village next to the river and many lovely walks. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were great with Naomi going above and beyond."

"I stayed at the Fenwick a couple of times now travelling on business and enjoyed my stays. The rooms are very well presented and always nice a warm. Good food, especially breakfast. I think the road outside does not do the hotel any favours, but once your inside you can forget the road."
