"This is a beautiful hotel. The reason I gave it a 3 star is because we did not have hot water in shower, not even warm water -it was cold water. I tried it at different times of day, it was always the cold water. I paid a lot extra to have the overwater villa, a once in a lifetime experience for me, so was very disappointing to freeze during my showers.
We told the staff, but they did not do anything about it. We told them we were coming back in a few days and could they offer discounted...

"We were a group of seven and waited around 30 minutes for the airport pickup, followed by another 30 minutes to check in. There were only two staff members handling check-in. The staff were lovely and efficient, but the hotel definitely seemed understaffed given the number of incoming guests. Management may need to look at this.
The view is nice, although it can be quite noisy with boats. The telephone in the room was never answered, so if we needed anything, we had to go downstairs.

"The 2 bedroom villa we got was right on the beach and extremely comfortable! Plataran prides itself for old world luxury and it never fails to deliver! We were thoroughly spoilt by the Plataran team and can’t wait to go back!"

"I stayed here with my son last week. The hotel is in a perfect location, right in town close to great places for dinner and tour bookings. The hotel is very clean and neat with an incredible view of the harbour from the pool area. The hotel staff are SO lovely and helpful. We had to order breakfast online each day and indicate the time.
