There was a problem with the toilet which was sorted by the time I came back from my day out and about. Friendly breakfast servers. I asked for more milk for my room, which they happily provided. Parking in the street wasn't an issue, costing £18 per day. Great location."

The standard double bed was very uncomfortable as it was combination of 2 beds joined together leaving the gap in the middle. Shower was flooded and toilet flush buttons not working properly. "The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. "Room was nice and comfortable. However, the location is listed wrong, this is not in Durham but a 5 minute drive out the city. Also, double check if your room includes breakfast as all correspondence said we had breakfast included but the expedia booking did not."
