In the addition of having to drive and walk though the construction areas (mud and maybe nails), we also had to hear the noise in the evening and early morning. We should’ve been notified or at least offered a discount because of the inconvenience. The private beach was nice, but there were no towels because they ran out. Be prepared to bring some from the hotel. No ventilation in the bathroom, toilet paper isbetween...

"It was really bleh. I was in room 12, i paid extra for the jacuzzi tub and didn't even use it, it didn't look clean. The bathroom has a lower ceiling, if you're 6' and over chances are you dont fit in the shower. The amenities were bad. The carpet in the room should be removed. If anything ask for room 1 to 11. In 12 you are in a renovated garage, you have two rooms over your head and you are located in the center of a parking lot. I would not book again. The check in is all via texts so thats...

"Easy, free parking and clean updated facilities made our stay enjoyable. The A/C unit was a bit loud but serviceable. Coffee maker and coffee were good. Not much in the way of amenities like breakfast or elevator but overall a nice place to stay."

"Beautiful property on the lake. Check in was slow and they were behind schedule, which was frustrating. However, they gave us free breakfast vouchers, which helped. The restaurant was great, we ended up eating there twice. It’s also one of the only waterfront places to eat, as most of downtown isn’t waterfront. It’s a quick walk to downtown, but it’s hilly at points. It was nice to relax by the lake and watch the sunset, and enjoy the firepits at night. There’s also a cute ice cream place next...

"Family and I stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed all the amenities the hotel included like coffee in the morning and kayaking which was fun. Staff was always helpful and friendly. The property is in a great location and we definitely recommend this hotel. We loved it and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Cambria Hotel!"

"The Hungry Trout Resort is a classic place to stay if you are interested in fishing the Ausable River. Very convenient with private access to the river. The fly shop on premises is excellent with great guides! The Pub was great in years past but is closed now. I really hope it reopens. The upscale restaurant is very nice with great views of the falls. Overall a solid place to stay without the hustle of staying in Lake Placid but close enough to go there for dinner."

"There really wasn’t many amenities. No pool or gym. The air hockey table and pool table was a nice touch but the air hockey wasn’t working and neither was free. The room I was in was a double but offered no chair to sit in or desk. The worst part was breakfast. An embarrassment to be honest. Eggs offered was a bowl of hard boiled eggs. Packaged string cheese also. Unappealing bread offerings and barely any fruit. The seating options in the lobby were plentiful and nicely designed but no seating...

"I have stayed at Hot Sara before and enjoyed it. This time, however, we were placed in the "annex" section. The room was terrible - we nicknamed it "the dungeon". Little tiny windows, bare bulb overhead lighting, inadequate bulb-type bedside lighting. We had a suite and it was the least luxurious thing I have ever stayed in. The shelf under the bathroom sink fell to the floor every time you tried to take a towel of the shelf! Add to that the fact that a wedding party booked the ballroom bar...

"Worst Marriott experience ever. Beware that there is no parking, the front desk staff is unhelpful, and the valets are positively rude! Not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber."

"I reserved a cabin, upon arrival they said the original reservation wasn’t available and I was given a room. Cleanliness was ok, no problems. Room had dark walls with only 3 low wattage bulbs in living area, couldn’t even see well enough to read. No access code given for wifi, and office was only open from 3 to 8. No way of asking anyone for password, so no wifi. Worst of all when trying to take a shower found no hot water at all. Waited until morning, still no hot water. Plus lawn was a foot...
