"Review: NUT Hotel – Aswan, Egypt You truly get what you pay for at this hotel. The room we were given had been recently renovated, but it was obvious the work wasn’t finished. The small details were missing: the mirrors and windows were dirty, there was no top sheet on the bed, and they didn’t provide sheets for the child’s bed. The bathroom had used soap bottles and overall felt unsanitary. The location is only a couple of blocks from the pyramids, and you can barely see them from the window. The surrounding area is extremely chaotic—dirty, loud, lots of donkeys, lots of trash. Despite that, we actually felt very safe the entire time. If you’re looking for a very low‑cost stay that is semi‑clean and safe, this place might work. The staff were genuinely very kind and helpful, which was the best part of the experience."

"Lovely and comfortable hotel not far from the GEM. It is quiet and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good, even for me who have restrictions on what I can eat. Coffee was ok. The WiFi can be patchy at times. Staff are just wonderful! Ali is charming and charismatic and his colleagues too. The ladies from the front desk are also great. Although a few people might have mentioned that the access to the hotel is in a quiet street or alleyway, my Uber drivers had to trouble finding it. Judging a place in Egypt by the way the surroundings are is really shallow and inaccurate. It is a great hotel for the price they charge."

"I am waiting my refund on the room, I paid and didn’t get the service, I was told they will approve my cancelation with the OTA, a person with the name of Mahmoud introduce himself as a FO manager but is very unprofessional how they handle the things, not answering the enquires from Expedia and just taking the money from the customers, I heard this about Egypt but in a “five star” hotel I mean, I am waiting the result and an answer, I hope the reservations answer the phone and communicate with front office about this issue and maybe the General Manager train the staff in this kind of matters, Marriott brand doesn’t stand for this all the opposite and reason why some of us choose the brand but with this kind of hotels is difficult to trust and find better places with better customer service, empathy, professionalism and standards"

"Picked this place for its stunning roof top view of the pyramids, placed in a peaceful area with very hospitable staff. Breakfast was amazing and the staff went above and beyond with the food. Room was clean, big space, and AC"

"Lovely staff that could not have been more helpful. Do not be put off by the area the hotel is in or first appearances, there are a lot of stairs and no lift but the view from the roof bar/restaurant is stunning and needs to be seen at sunset. I was travelling solo and felt very safe in the hotel, the room was cleaned daily and no request was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable and the showers rooms were very clean and warm. For the amount I paid per night I could not fault it."

"My first room was clean then the ac decided to leak all over my suitcase and my clothes in the middle of the night, I woke up after it had already flooded my room. My suit which I had dry cleaned the day before was completely ruined as were half my clothes. That was out of their hands but what wasn't was the "upgraded" room they put me in, the only difference was that it had a larger window and a balcony thats basically unusable. Now the problem with that was I could hear the DJ blasting terrible music from my room and I couldn't even wash that noise out by playing music from my phone. That wasn't the only problem with the new room, the floor was full of dead bugs that for some reason multiplied whenever room service came in to clean the room, and that new window was very dirty and full of smudges that were there before I came in and were never cleaned by room service. I will say the room service in my first room was excellent and my first room was always cleaned properly. Most of the staff were extremely friendly except the girl that checked me in who was very grumpy. The breakfast was amazing and I really enjoyed it. Lunch and dinner were great too."
