"My friend and I stopped here overnight on our way to Cornwall. The area is beautiful and it's a nice old estate/manor. The rooms were clean, but a little dated. It must've been a wedding party that stayed overnight, as we heard all of them in the courtyard and hallways at 7 am, so the walls are extremely thin. Fine for a one night stay."

"What a superb gem of a hotel. Location is ideal for travelling with plenty of car parking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of continental and superbly cooked and varied hot options. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. Originally booked one night travelling south and then decided to stay again a few nights later when travelling back. Will definitely be back."

"I was staying with my 88 year old Mum. We were awoken at 3am by banging and chatting from the room next door. It continued until we left at 7.30am. The room was apparently a room bring renovated with no door lock, just holes where it should be and Yellow No Entry tape. I was told the occupants needed emergency accommodation for the night. I drove 4 hours home on 3 hours sleep. I would not recommend this hotel if you would prefer to sleep through the night!"

"Left stranded outside the hotel after staff forgot to leave keys, after confirming directly with the hotel manager that we would be arriving late. We never were able to use our reservation and did not stay after paying in full. I called earlier in the day to confirm, and they gave me the lockbox location and code, but upon arrival by taxi (after midnight) there were no keys in the box, leaving us alone outside with no car. "Overall we had a good experience staying at this hotel. The price was bit expensive for a one night stay. The water flow from the wash basin as the shower was splashing. Other than this everything else was very good. Thank you."
