"Clean single room for an overnight stay, the hotel is literally opposite the railway station and Piece Hall and town centre are a short walk away. Staff friendly and helpful. Some of the fixtures and fittings could do with some tic perhaps, but the rates are very reasonable and the bed was comfortable. Some rooms face a busy road so some traffic noise, but not too bad. Would stay again."

"I did not take advantage of the breakfast. I love the location and the facilities are tidy a d appear clean. I only ooted for fresh veddung a d towels once in the middle of my 6 night stay which is more frequently than I change my own at home! Being from Canada I did notice the lack of mini fridge in the room but adjusted easily to not having one. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is safe and secure. My only real complaint I never mentioned to them but now regret as I don't know if it's the case in every room or if I could have changed: the room was very musty smelling. It was noticeable immediately upon walking in each time but I grew accustomed to it while there and propped the door open a couple of times thinking that might help. However, once I checked out and got to my daughter's home she was immediately offended by the musty smell of my luggage and clothing. We had to wash all my clothes and air the luggsge outside. "

"The overall condition of the hotel was good, and the facilities met expectations. However, our stay was overshadowed by an extremely unpleasant experience with a staff member who was also the duty manager. We were staying at the hotel to attend a wedding in the area. I was in a nearby room and part of the same group as the groom, and witnessed the incident on the morning of checkout—also the morning of the wedding. The groom’s room had paid for a late checkout until 12pm. Despite this, a staff member arrived around 30 minutes early and insisted they were late leaving. She did not check the system and repeatedly told them to leave immediately. Her language and tone were aggressive and confrontational—I have never seen a staff member speak to guests like this. She addressed it loudly at the room door, which was embarrassing and caused unnecessary stress. The situation escalated to the point where a family member had to be interrupted while in the shower to confirm payment. It created tension within the group and ultimately ruined what should have been a joyful wedding morning. As some of the group were dressed in traditional attire, the interaction felt particularly uncomfortable and gave the impression of possible bias. While the hotel itself was fine, this incident significantly impacted the overall experience."

"Poor! Where to start… Leisure facilities dirty, lack quality and need reinvestment. Restaurant poor quality, my double chicken burger and my son’s chicken burger were burnt and black, they took an order of drinks and forgotten to service, quality of food and quality of cooking was absolutely poor. Two people complained and asked for refunds whilst we were there it was that bad. Room lacked quality! One pillow each, beds uncomfortable and amenities poor Sleeping quality was terrible- noisy people running up and down halls and shouting, not best when trying to have a early night to get some rest Generally very poor and when approaching reception about issues never acknowledged "
